    Nice show. I saw it today. Very subtle protest (like a paper cut) in the images that feels based in the conviction that we are better than this. Not antagonistic as much as disappointed. You still seemed to like the people in your photos. Empathy. Like you might be able to photograph them out of hell if you try hard enough.

    Then I went over to Bellwether and saw Brent Green’s intense little animations. Yikes. I must change my life.

    Thanks much! Empathy is a big part of what I’m after, so hopefully no one will have to photograph anyone out of hell!

    Did you meet Roz Chast??!!!! Was she super neurotic? I kept trying to spot her in the crowd the whole time, but there were just too many people.
