DoubleTake Magazine

DoubleTake Magazine Has Another Go At It.
If you recall from 1985 until 2003 DoubleTake was a compelling magazine that combined fiction and essay writing with contemporary documentary photography. Originally published by Duke Univeristy who still supports photography and writing projects today through the Center for Documentary Studies, DoubleTake began to fizzle and fell of around the new millenium. Well enough people must have complained loud enough as it’s making another attempt. I haven’t seen the first issue yet but am curious and hopeful, we certainly could use more magazines devoted to photography.

I have had good luck buying back issues of DoubleTake on ebay. A non-profit (ExCL) is selling brand new back issues.
