Contemporary Condition

Paul D’Amato is my hero. One of the most prolific photographers, i’ve met or read about. In his spare time (sic), he has curated a show called the Contemporary Condition which opens Friday the 24th from 5-7pm at the Hokin Gallery (623 S.Wabash). Paul’s aims was to create one of the most depressing exhibits of photography ever. Apart from the odd gallery space, it fully achieves somber-ness with works by Colleen Plumb, Bryan Lear, Greg Stimac, Matt Nighswander, Erin McClellan, Nate Baker, Gideon Barnett and more (myself included).
