For Those Who Cannot Ask…

It’s getting clear that donations are only as good if organization can get money to those in need it. I wouldn’t suggest that one should donate to one organization or another, but please consider the Humane Society. There are hundreds (maybe thousands) of homeless, sick and in need animals who have also been terribly affected by this disaster. As you may have heard any people being evacuated were forced to leave their pets behind. I couldn’t ever image how difficult that would be until I saw this segment from the Oprah show.
Regardless the Humane Society is doing there part as well and needs your help. Again the offer for a print still stands, hopefully it’s an incentive, but mostly my way of saying thanks.

It was nice to see that at some of the big donors are donating money that is ear marked for pet recovery and transportation together with their donations to the American Red Cross. I have to say, thankfully, I don’t feel quite so helpless.

My dog and his owner got out safely thanks to thier friends who had 3 ferrets and a siamese cat.

Although animals have an easier time because they can eat carcases, its still just as horrifying to see members of the animal race out on a limb too.
